As we covered previously, Ebiowei has been training with West Ham on a trial basis following Arsenal’s decision not to offer him a scholarship with the club.

According to All Nigeria Soccer, that trial is now over. Whether West Ham end up signing Ebiowei is yet to be determined. The club are still to make a decision on the matter, as is the player.

In the meantime, Ebiowei is considering his options. The teenager has plans to train with several other Premier League clubs before coming to a final decision over his next steps.

Arsenal gave Ebiowei his u18 debut as a 15-year-old, so there were certainly no doubts about his talent. However, rumours from All Nigeria Soccer suggest they had issues with his work ethic and attitude.

It was still a bit of a surprise to see Ebiowei leave, especially as he was in such good form for the Arsenal u16s at the time. He’d been consistently involved in the goals and assists in the early games of the campaign, including against West Ham and Chelsea.

Sadly, it didn’t work out. We should find out where Ebiowei is ending up later in the season, after his other trials.
