No side in the Premier League has won more points from a losing position than Arsenal this season.

That’s right, bow down before our mental strength to rescue draws from the jaws of defeat and ignore the fact it would probably be a better sign to take the lead, hold it and just win the game.

Anyway, I digress.

Arsenal have won 11 points from losing positions this season, their latest coming on Boxing Day when they saved a point against Bournemouth.

It was a game Arsenal could have easily won by three or four goals but of course they conceded from the first shot they faced and then had to rescue something from the game again.

Last season, Arsenal only managed to pick up 12 points in the whole campaign from a losing position which probably has more to do with them losing fewer game than Unai Emery reinforcing their mental strength this season.

As with most stats, this one can be used to prove both Arsenal are good and bad.

Your own eyes, however, can be used to see the truth while your brain should be telling you only a rock thinks it’s a good stat.

Thankfully, Mikel Arteta has given us all a lot of hope.
