The Mirror write that Aubameyang is ‘ready to quit Arsenal’ after pulling out of contract negotiations, and he’s deeply frustrated with the direction of the club at the moment. The striker believes he’s running out of time to win trophies.

In another article from the same outlet, this time by John Cross, he claims Arsenal are facing a ‘crisis’ over the striker. Cross repeats the line that Aubameyang has pulled out of talks and made Arsenal ‘fully aware’ of his stance.

This is obviously far from ideal for the club. Arsenal have just made Aubameyang captain, and he has 12 goals already this season. The 30-year-old has directly contributed to 65 goals since joining, in a team that really isn’t scoring enough even with him in it.

Now there’s talk of a possible move to Real Madrid. Though they’re mostly just rumours at this stage, it’s very possible a top club will pounce soon. If it’s Real Madrid, a club Aubameyang has never hidden his love for, that could be that.
