Iwobi only lasted 10 minutes playing against his former club before he had to come off with an injury. Cenk Tosun replaced him, and he ended up stealing most of the headlines when he came off again in the second half.

It was a shame for Iwobi to miss his chance to face his old team though. Goal report he has a hamstring injury, and perhaps he just pushed a little too hard in the early stages.

The Arsenal fans applauded and chanted Iwobi’s name as he came off, which was nice. The 23-year-old boyhood fan of the Gunners spent most of his life so far with the club.

Iwobi made a great start with Everton, scoring twice in three games. Unfortunately, those are his only two goals for the club in 19 appearances. He has one assist in that period against Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup.

On the upside, he played 90 minutes in a win over Chelsea and draws with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

The injury isn’t going to help, but good luck to Iwobi continuing to settle in and find form.
