The Daily Mail claim Xhaka has told the club he would prefer to leave after his recent confrontation with the fans. Sources have informed the English outlet that the midfielder believes there’s no way back for him after what happened against Crystal Palace.

From Arsenal’s side, the club have already begun to work towards finding a buyer, believing they can capitalise on Xhaka’s more positive reputation in Germany.

There are still concerns about how the fallout could affect the player’s value though. For good value bets, visit 1-casinosenligne.com.

Before Palace, Xhaka had made it up to 10 starts in 15 games for the club this season. He was clearly a key part of Unai Emery’s plans for the team, so it’s not ideal for a head coach who is already struggling to lose a player he evidently likes.

On the other hand, it may be for the best to get a clean break, recoup as much of Xhaka’s fee as possible and reinvest in a replacement.
