Arsenal have confirmed that Dani Ceballos suffered an injury to his left hamstring during the away match against Vitoria this week. The damage is still being assessed, but there’s no chance of the midfielder recovering in time to face Leicester.

Unai Emery called Ceballos’ problem a “small injury” after the Vitoria match, and he’ll hope that’s true, given he’s losing a player who has featured in every single game this season.

The club add that no other players are unavailable due to injury, though we assume it’s likely Granit Xhaka will miss out given his current personal situation with the club.

Emile Smith Rowe missed out on the trip to Vitoria with a tight calf, but it appears that wasn’t serious enough to rule him out of the weekend’s clash. Smith Rowe has also been named in the England u20 squad for the next international break, which is another good sign.

Folarin Balogun is also injured after picking up an ankle problem, though the u23 top scorer is yet to make his debut for the Arsenal first-team anyway.
