Miguel Azeez scored a fantastic effort from range and Sam Greenwood also netted from the penalty spot in a dramatic 4-4 draw for the England u18s on Saturday.

England’s u18 side were trailing 3-2 when Sam Greenwood came off the bench for the team, but they managed to find an equaliser when the young Arsenal striker netted a penalty in the 85th minute, firing confidently into the top of the net.

The scores only stayed level for a minute though, as Norway retook the lead with just four minutes of normal time remaining.

Deep into injury time, another Arsenal youngster Miguel Azeez lined up a shot from distance, and he found the net excellently past a diving goalkeeper.

Sadly, there was no time for a winning goal, but having trailed for a grand total of 85 minutes in the match, even managing to snatch a draw was something to celebrate.

Azeez is no stranger to goals from outside the box, scoring this effort against Aston Villa for the Arsenal u18s earlier this season:

The youngster also bagged a long-range goal for the u16s in March, scoring in the u16 PL Cup final against Chelsea:

Azeez signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in September, shortly after he turned 17 and became eligible for one. Reports suggest he’s on a three-year deal with the option to extend for an additional two.

Assuming he continues to develop as he has been, it would be no surprise to see that option taken up.
