In Arsenal’s last 18 Premier League games, they have won only six times, losing six and drawing the remaining matches, showing why Unai Emery should be sacked immediately.

If we extrapolate out over the course of a 38 game season, Arsenal’s last 18 matches would translate into just over 12-and-a-half wins. Let’s give Emery the benefit of the doubt and call that 13 wins and chip a little from his D column.

P38 W13 D12 L13 = 51 points.

To put that into context, 51 points last season would have seen Arsenal finish in the bottom half of the table in 11th place, one point ahead of Palace, a point behind West Ham and Leicester, and six points behind Wolves.

They would sit above the relegation zone by just 15 points.

Champions League? You’re really having a laugh. Arsenal would have finished some 47 points from champions City and 20 points behind Tottenham in fourth place.
