Arsenal staff feel it’s now just a matter of time until the club part ways with Unai Emery, according to reports.

Goal report that they’ve been told the atmosphere at Arsenal in the last few weeks has been tense and uncomfortable. The staff have accepted that Unai Emery is going to leave, and it’s just a matter of waiting for the announcement now.

There’s also a suggestion that Emery has failed to bond with his players. There’s little loyalty from them towards him, nor from most of those who work at the club.

It really does feel like this situation has dragged on for far too long. It’s one win in eight games in all competitions, and that single victory was a game Arsenal were losing in for 66 minutes before two moments of individual quality from Nicolas Pepe dragged them back.

In the Premier League specifically, things have been completely dire. In the entirety of September, October and November, Arsenal won two games. One was a comeback against Aston Villa, the other a tight 1-0 victory over Bournemouth.

Quite what the Arsenal hierarchy are waiting for is anyone’s guess. We may not be waiting for much longer.
