Unai Emery is reportedly ‘fighting’ to save his job as members of his squad question his training methods.

That’s according to Sami Mokbel in the Daily Mail on Monday who notes that, “A number of players have serious reservations about Emery, whom they consider too conservative in his tactical approach.”

They aren’t alone as one of the main complaints of the Arsenal fanbase is that Emery’s football is cowardly and he sends Arsenal out like they are some sort of mid-table side.

With just two wins in their last nine Premier League games, it would seem very much like the Spaniard’s time is running out and Arsenal need to make a choice in regards to who they want to keep – Emery or Aubameyang and Lacazette because I’d be fairly certain neither will stick around to play more of this ‘football’.

This is a list of Arsenal’s last 18 Premier League games including result and opposition.

It is a sackable list if ever I saw one:

  • Everton (a) L
  • Watford (a) W
  • Palace (h) L
  • Wolves (a) L
  • Leicester (a) L
  • Brighton (h) D
  • Burnley (a) W
  • Newcastle (a) W
  • Burnley (h) W
  • Liverpool (a) L
  • Spurs (h) D
  • Watford (a) D
  • Villa (h) W
  • United (a) D
  • B’mouth (h) W
  • Sheff U (a) L
  • Palace (h) D
  • Wolves (h) D

That’s P18 W6 D6 L6, with two of those six wins coming against Burnley.
