Arsenal are interested in signing Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid, with the Brazilian falling out of Zinedine Zidane’s plans and the club considering a sale.

Calciomercato report that Vinicius Jr could be on the way out of Madrid, as he’s no longer part of Zidane’s plans for the team. The winger has only started one of the last 10 games, and he’s been completely absent from the squad on four occasions in that time.

Real Madrid are therefore planning to sell in January, and the Italian outlet claim Arsenal are following the situation with interest.

UOL Sport previously claimed the Gunners pushed to sign Vinicius over the summer, with Edu Gaspar leading the charge, but their advances were rebuffed. Whether that’s changed after the recent run of games remains to be seen.

Vinicius has one goal and one assist so far this season. In fairness, those goal contributions both came in his four starts for the campaign. He hasn’t been as effective in his substitute appearances, but it’s often more difficult to be when the team isn’t set up for your talents.

The 19-year-old still has a contract until 2025, so it would be surprising if the club had completely lost patience with him already. It’s worth keeping an eye on whether he makes it back into the team over the next month though.
