Emile Smith Rowe really caught the eye for the England u20s in their opening game of the international break against Portugal, and Arsenal fans are impressed.

The England u20s had been on a mixed run of form lately, winning just one of their last four games. Even then it was a narrow 1-0 victory over Switzerland, and last time out they’d been comfortably beaten 3-0 by the Czech Republic.

They were given a boost over the November break though, with Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe returning from injury to join up with the squad for the first time.

The young Gunner played 81 minutes in a 4-0 win over Portugal on Thursday, and he scored one and assisted one in an impressive performance.

Arsenal fans haven’t been able to get much of a look at Smith Rowe in the first-team this season, as he’s managed just 195 minutes of senior football in 2019/20 and none in the Premier League.

That’s been mostly due to his comeback from injury, undergoing a steady rehabilitation schedule before a concussion set him back a couple of weeks. He seems to be back and ready for more now though, and the Arsenal supporters are impressed:
