Dani Ceballos has informed Real Madrid that if Arsenal want to sign him this summer, he hopes the two clubs can reach an agreement.

ElDesmarque report that Ceballos will prioritise joining Arsenal over his other options, as he’s comfortable playing under Unai Emery, a head coach who has trusted him since his first day. He reportedly never felt that same faith from Zinedine Zidane in Madrid.

Ceballos appears to want his future sorted as soon as possible, suggesting to Florentino Perez that he meet with Arsenal in January for negotiations. Real don’t currently have the midfielder in their plans, and €35m could be enough to convince them to sell.

This saga is turning into a bit of a rollercoaster. Ceballos told the media earlier this month that he’s happy at Arsenal and didn’t feel sorry about being away from Madrid.

Then he gave another interview claiming he was misinterpreted and wants to succeed in Spain. Now, the latest reports suggest he’s planning his departure.

Ceballos has made 11 appearances for Arsenal so far, starting six games, scoring once and assisting twice from midfield. He’s had a part to play in all of the team’s fixtures so far, so there’s certainly no denying Emery’s trust in him.
