With Arsenal crying out for creativity in the side, it is bittersweet to realise that Santi Cazorla could still be the man providing it.

Let’s be honest, none of us expected Santi Cazorla to be doing what he’s currently doing – namely, playing football at any decent level at all.

The man who almost lost the ability to walk has dumbfounded experts the world over to not only return to professional football but to star in it.

The midfielder was again earning plaudits again after his display on Friday night for Villarreal and it didn’t take long for this amazing stat to surface:

This season, only Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (8) and Gabriel Martinelli (5) have scored more than Cazorla while Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe and, surprisingly, Calum Chambers, are the only players with the same number of assists. Nobody has more.

It was revealed on Friday that Santi Cazorla will star as a ‘main actor’ in the second series of Amazon Prime’s ‘Six Dreams’.
