Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has suggested his new FIFA Player of the Month card should have been his standard card, after receiving an upgrade based on his September performances.

Every month, the player who wins the Premier League’s Player of the Month award gets a special card in FIFA’s Ultimate Team game mode with upgraded stats. In September, that was Arsenal’s star striker Aubameyang.

As a result, Aubameyang’s new card is the one FIFA players will be trying to get their hands on this month. He has an upgrade of +1 in overall pace, +2 in shooting, +3 in passing, +1 in dribbling, +1 in defending, but no upgrade in physical for whatever reason.

It’s not a huge upgrade, and according to Aubameyang himself, it’s only brought him up to where he should’ve been in the first place.

It’s hard to argue with that. To give last season’s Premier League top scorer just 85 shooting overall is a bit strange, given even Kevin De Bruyne has 86. De Bruyne scored one goal every 305 minutes last season, Aubameyang scored one every 124.

Thankfully, Aubameyang has his first upgrade. Now he needs a few more match-winning performances to get his overall rating into the nineties.
