This week on the Daily Cannon podcast, we had a special bonus episode after the Vitoria game in which we previewed this week’s match against Palace and James, like the rest of us, is nervous.

I’m nervous, to be honest. I am, I’m very nervous.

I shouldn’t be, but we’re coming up against a Palace side that have started this season very, very, very well and they’ve proven that they are very hard to break down. And they do play good football at times.

You wouldn’t really expect it with their players up front in the likes of Jordan Ayew, but he’s actually started the season quite excitingly.

I think this is going to be a tough game and the real talking point will be Zaha vs Pepe: did we get the right man?

But Pepe, of course, has got quite a bit more end product on him statistically this season than someone like Zaha has, despite Zaha being so easy on the eye, so good to watch,

Pepe is racking up the numbers, which is great to see [3 goals, 3 assists v Zaha’s 1 assist].

I’m very excited to see how that’s going to develop but defensively I’m extremely worried because I’m assuming that Sokratis and Luiz will come back into the fold, we’ll see Kolasinac at left back again, the midfield, Xhaka and Guendouzi.

I think Unai Emery has gotta pick one of the two. Persisting with those two just isn’t the right move. And then who’s going to play in that number 10 role? I’m not too sure.

But I am excited in the sense that hopefully we’ll see Martinelli get a start in the Premier League. I think he’s certainly warranted that, playing on that left wing. I’d love to see him get a chance against Palace at home. I think it’d be the perfect game for him, and then Aubameyang leading the line and it’s an exciting attack we’ve got

Midfield is just all over the place, really, and defence is well below par, as we know. So it’s going to be a tough game against a team that can score goals and are hard to break down, which is exactly what we hate playing against.

I’m looking forward to it. I always look forward to going to The Arsenal, but it’s going to be a tough game. I think we’ll win this game, I’ve got to be positive, I’ll say, nervously, we’ll win this game 2-1.
