David Beckham’s Inter Miami could tempt Mesut Ozil to the MLS in January if the player still isn’t getting minutes at Arsenal according to a report from the States.

Despite saying he’s not going anywhere, and looking like he could well out-last Unai Emery, Mesut Ozil is being linked once again with a move to the MLS.

Beckham’s Inter Miami will form for the 2020 season as part of a league expansion and with Ozil’s situation at Arsenal the source of constant speculation, I doubt this will be the last time we see him linked with a move.

A player who is still only 31, it would seem unlikely he’s destined to move to the MLS in the next transfer window.

Ozil would not rule out a move to the States when he spoke about it in 2016 but qualified that statement with the phrase ‘one day’.

Back in August, Mesut Ozil’s people held a meeting with DC United in Washington and you can read more about that here and how it wasn’t quite what it seemed.
