Football Insider report that an Arsenal source has informed them the club have been flying out to watch Nunez play regularly, and they plan to step up their pursuit of the player in January. Check out these free online slots.

Nunez started the season about as well as he could have hoped, playing 90 minutes as his team beat Barcelona and kept a clean sheet. Since then, he’s only played two of the last seven games, despite making his debut for Spain in the September break.

Arsenal have reportedly seen the defender drop out of Bilbao’s starting lineup and see an opportunity to take advantage. Nunez was also in and out of the team last campaign, making 15 appearances overall.

It’s worth noting Football Insider recently posted a very similar story about Issa Diop, the West Ham defender.

Whether there’s something in either rumour remains to be seen, but in lieu of further evidence, it does seem a bit like they’re just throwing names at the wall to see what sticks. It’s worth keeping an eye on just in case though.
