Matteo Guendouzi was called up to the France squad this week and, as is customary in football, had to get on a table and sing in front of his teammates.

Matteo Guendouzi’s form for Arsenal since he arrived last summer was rewarded by a call-up from Didier Deschamps when Paul Pogba pulled out of the squad with an injury during this international break.

Speaking before France’s game against Andorra on Saturday night, Deschamps hinted that he would protect Guendouzi as he looked to play down the hype that’s building around him. As such, he didn’t get on the pitch as they won 4-1 in Paris.

Prior to the match, Guendouzi was filmed singing his little heart out, which, as we know, is always hilarious.

Well, ‘singing’ might be a bit of a stretch…
