Arsenal fans have already come up with a new chant for Dani Ceballos, the Spaniard’s second since joining the club in the summer.

Originally, Ceballos simply took over the old Santi Cazorla chant with the Arsenal fans. It’s not exactly surprising, given how well that chant used to go down with the supporters and how simple it is to pick up in a big stadium like the Emirates.

It’s easier to come up with original chants at away games, where the signing supporters are closer together and often spend time in the pubs before matches. Arsenal fans used the trips to Watford and then Frankfurt to debut a new chant for the midfielder.

Clearly, the fans have already taken to Ceballos after his first few appearances for Arsenal. There may also be an element of the supporters trying to help the player feel at home, to convince him to stay past the end of his loan spell.

As things stand, Arsenal don’t appear to have an option or an obligation to buy at the end of the season, so it will really help if they have Ceballos on side during negotiations this summer.

It’s a bit early to be worrying about all that though. For now, Ceballos needs to focus on helping the team put some results together, whilst the fans can just enjoy their new chant.
