Arsenal recently confirmed Bellerín is back in full training, after eight months out with injury. Understandably, the fans are excited to see the return of the right-back, but they aren’t the only ones.

Arsenal tweeted to ask supporters how much they were looking forward to seeing Bellerín back, and former Gunner Serge Gnabry responded:

Gnabry and Bellerín have always been close, ever since their time together in the Arsenal academy. As two players in the same age group both coming from abroad to live in London, it’s no surprise they had a lot in common.

It’s nice to see Gnabry still checks up on his old teammate. With any luck, he’ll have more opportunities to cheer Bellerín on in competitive matches soon enough.

Bellerín is expected to build up his fitness with the u23s for a game or two before rejoining the first team in the next month.
