Mohamed Elneny has made his debut for Besiktas in a friendly while the rest of the world is bored by the interlull.
The midfielder, who was a late transfer out of the club, will spent the season on loan with the Turkish side ahead of way I’m sure both sides hope is a permanent transfer away.
Besiktas played Umraniyespor on Saturday, winning the game 3-1 thanks to an Umut Nayir hattrick.

Speaking about why he opted to sign Mohamed Elneny instead of other targets, Besiktas’ manager, Abdullah Avici, told Futbol Arena, “We looked at him and thought he could be a good player, but we had very limited information about the player. We tried to get some information but at the time, that was very hard.
“We did our research about the situation with the player. In fact, Arsenal’s head of fitness is my friend from my days with the Turkish national team. He told me all the details about Elneny. After that, we decided to sign the player,” he concluded.
