Arsenal have provided an injury update ahead of the trip to Watford at the weekend, and it seems like good news for the squad.

Arsenal posted their usual team news update on Wednesday, which was surprisingly early for a Sunday match. The main positive is that they claim ‘no international players have reported injuries during this period’.

The club add that the international players still need to be assessed when they’re all back on Thursday, but the suggestion is that neither Lucas Torreira nor Granit Xhaka felt their knocks were serious enough to report back, which is something.

Rob Holding is also back in full training, which is no surprise after he completed a few u23 appearances without any setbacks or problems. The defender should be available for first-team action from now on, but will probably be eased back in through the League Cup or the Europa League.

As stated in previous injury updates, Hector Bellerin, Kieran Tierney and Dinos Mavropanos are all aiming to return to full training this month.

Bellerin appears to be the closest, as his update states he’s “continuing with on-field rehabilitation”, whereas Tierney and Mavropanos “[continue] to receive treatment and further assessments”.

If he’s ready, it’s possible the Spaniard might feature in the u23 game at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, but there’s no word from the club on that front yet.
