Over the last seven days, Flores has been away with Mexico at the Nordic Cup, joining Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Northern Ireland, Norway and Switzerland at the event.

Mexico’s tournament started with a game against Iceland, which they drew 1-1 thanks in part to an assist from Flores. They progressed to the next round on penalties.

The team were matched up with Denmark in the semi-finals, and once again they drew. This time it finished 2-2 with Flores on the scoresheet:

Unfortunately, Mexico lost to Denmark on penalties, dropping them into the third-place play-off on Saturday. Flores got a goal and an assist in that third match, a 5-3 win over Norway.

Though his country couldn’t end the tournament as the overall champions, Flores will still be very pleased with how it went on a personal level. He’ll now return to Arsenal, where he’s pushing for his u18 debut this season.

In an interview earlier this year, we spoke to Flores about his time in North London so far, which you can check out here.
