The u18s were dealt a very tough hand in their u18 Premier League fixture on Saturday. Ben Cottrell and Joel Lopez missed out on the starting lineup through injury, before Sam Greenwood and Jason Sraha had to come off with more injuries within 20 minutes.

With Arsenal also conceding an early goal after a defensive error, it was going to take a moment of real quality from someone to get them back into the game.

Thankfully, Luke Plange provided that quality. After an interception by Catalin Cirjan in midfield, Plange raced onto the loose ball and drove into the West Ham half. He squared up the defender and pulled out a couple of stepovers before cutting inside and curling into the net from 20 yards.

Arsenal deserved something from the game after dominating large periods of the 90 despite the circumstances. Plange will also be pleased to have scored his second goal in two games this season.

Next up, the u18s face Southampton on Saturday, August 31st at 11:30.
