Shkodran Mustafi and Mohamed Elneny are still on the market for any European clubs interested, according to reports.

James Olley of the Evening Standard reports that Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for Mustafi and Elneny from European clubs before the end of the month.

Various European leagues have different transfer deadline dates, from 31st August in Spain, France and Germany, to August 18th in Italy. As a result, they can still bid for the two Arsenal players over the coming weeks.

According to the Standard, there has been interest in Mustafi from France and Germany, though no formal offers yet. Meanwhile, Elneny has been in talks with Galatasaray over a move, but there’s no agreement with the player or the club just yet.

Both players have seen multiple options come in ahead of them over the summer.

Dani Ceballos joined from Real Madrid in midfield, whilst Joe Willock stepped up in the pecking order from the academy.

David Luiz joined to bolster Arsenal’s centre-back options, Calum Chambers returned from loan and Rob Holding is almost back from injury. William Saliba also signed, though he has gone back on loan for the time being.

Whilst the departures of Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny offset those additions somewhat, it’s still clear that Elneny and Mustafi won’t be first-choice players at Arsenal this season.

At 27 years old, the pair would probably be best going somewhere they would have that starting status.
