Unai Emery said he’s not sure when Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac will be available for selection as the duo find themselves in the middle of a turf war.
It has been reported that a feud between two rival gangs has seen Ozil and Kolasinac targeted as the thugs try to one-up each other.
As a result, Ozil and Kolasinac now have 24-hour security and Sead’s wife, Bella, has left the country and returned to Germany, according to the Daily Mail, who claim she has vowed ‘never to return’.
“The club is managing that,” said Emery after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Newcastle on Sunday. “We want to be with them as soon as possible and with normality in training and to be ready to play. But I don’t know now when they will be available.”
Arsenal have also revealed that the players were targeted in separate carjacking incidents in Golders Green in north London while two men were arrested when they confronted the security detail at Ozil’s home.
They will appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on September 6.
