With the announcement expected ‘imminently’ according to L’Equipe who report that Lille have filled all the relevant papers, Get French Football News have explained just how much of Pepe’s £72m fee will go to his former club – €7m.

Pepe is believed to have signed a five-year deal with Arsenal that will see him earn as much as Shkodran Mustafi.

He will also, seemingly, get his preferred shirt number in the squad as well.

Arsenal fans are waiting impatiently for the club to make the move official but while there might seem to be some sort of hold-up, Arsenal are renowned for refusing to make anything official until it is 100% legal and complete.

Everything seems to be moving in the right direction with admin/bureaucracy the reason it hasn’t been announced by the club.
