Lucas Torreira says he knows exactly what the North London derby means to Arsenal (and Spurs) fans as we head into another showdown this weekend.

With an influx of new players and fewer old hands around to explain the importance of games against Tottenham, Lucas Torreira has revealed he is in no doubt what these games are all about.

“You don’t realise how special and unique that game is until you’re in the middle of it,” he told Four Four Two. “A few people had tried to tell me about the passion, but it was an eye-opener for me. This just isn’t a normal game.”

Torreira has played just two games against Spurs but already has a goal to his name, scoring in the 4-2 win last season.

That is in contrast to Christian Eriksen who, despite being hailed as a godlike figure by Spurs fans, has yet to find the net in 14 matches against the Gunners.
