It had looked like Eddie Nketiah would be off to Bristol City with Leeds likely to land Ryan Kent from Liverpool. Now, Phil Hay believes Leeds are focusing more on landing the prolific Arsenal 20-year-old.

That being said, the Daily Record claim that Leeds have opened talks with Liverpool over the signing of Kent so it’s clear they’re moving on two fronts at present and keeping all options open.

Unai Emery had said he was planning on keeping Nketiah at the club, a decision that excited Arsenal fans everywhere but it certainly looks as if he’s on his way somewhere on loan this summer.

Now valued at around £7.2m, Nketiah has scored 28 goals, with seven assists, in 38 games for the u23s. He has three goals in 19 appearances (458 minutes) for the first team, with two goals in two games (just 60 minutes) in the EFL Cup.

In the UEFA Youth League with the u19s, he scored three, with an assist, in four games.

For the u18s, he scored 15, with three assists, in 16 games.
