Kieran Tierney reportedly broke Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s vertical jump record at Arsenal during his medical despite being sidelined after surgery.

Kieran Tierney will not be in full Arsenal training for around another six weeks according to the Arsenal medics, despite what Neil Lennon said about him returning in 1-2.

That hasn’t stopped him already leaving a mark as he broke Auba’s vertical jump record during his medical ahead of signing at the club for five years.

The record reportedly stood at 54cm with Tierney’s jump coming in at 50cm on the first attempt. He was then, supposedly, told about the record, wound up the springs in his legs and jumped 55cm.

Talksport described this one centimeter increase as Tierney ‘smashing’ the record in their headline.

It is expected that Tierney will be a long-term replacement for Nacho Monreal who is out of contract next summer. The full-back is wanted, again, by Real Sociedad but it’s hard to see Arsenal agreeing to let him leave while the 22-year-old Tierney is unfit.
