According to Talksport, Everton have bid £30m for Alex Iwobi after Crystal Palace turned down their insane bid for Wilfried Zaha but Arsenal have rejected it.

Everton clearly want an attacking player and, after seeing their bid of £70m PLUS two players rejected because Crystal Palace want £80m because Harry Maguire, they’ve now come knocking on Arsenal’s door.

Apparently.

It seems unlikely that Arsenal would sell Alex Iwobi who has been at the club since 2004 but with them needing defenders more than attackers and no money to buy either, who knows what Raul and co. might think when they consider how they could spend £30m.

In this market, however, it seems like he should be worth a bit more than that with three years left on his current Arsenal deal.

Iwobi played 51 times for Arsenal last season in his first season under Unai Emery totalling 2,839 minutes.

He score six and assisted nine.

It’s also worth noting that Talksport were also reporting that Everton were preparing another bid for Zaha:

The Daily Mail report Arsenal have rejected the bid which was £25m plus add-ons totalling £30m.

Everton are expected to returned with an improved offer as per David Ornstein who say they want Iwobi in addition to Zaha rather than instead of:
