On Friday, according to L’Equipe, Arsenal met with Bordeaux representatives to try and sort out a deal for Laurent Koscielny.

Both Eduardo Macia and Hugo Valera, Bordeaux board members, reportedly travelled to London to try and find a conclusion to this total shambles.

Arsenal still maintain they want £10m for Koscielny which, when you see that United just got conned into paying £85m for Harry Maguire, is starting to look more and more reasonable.

Bordeaux thought they could sign the Arsenal captain for free because that’s what he’s been telling everybody although they now accept they will have to pay something to sign a player still under contract.

Imagine.

What the outcome of the meeting is we don’t yet know but while the transfer window for incomings closes in England on Thursday at 5pm, clubs can still sell to France until 2 September when their window closes.

Just think, this could drag out for another month yet.

Woop.
