Details about Arsenal’s Home Kit for the 2020/21 season have already started to leak, with the design finalised earlier this month.

According to FootyHeadlines, Arsenal will have a dark red home kit next season, ‘active maroon’ to be specific. It won’t be quite as dark as the maroon shirt used in the final season at Highbury, but it will still be a throwback to those early Arsenal kits.

This year, Arsenal and Adidas only released their new home shirt in July, as the Gunners had a rights deal with Puma until June. Next season will be different though, and FootyHeadlines suggest the new shirt could even be launched and debuted before the end of the 2019/20 campaign.

Reports from journalists in attendance at a recent Adidas event including Football.London’s James Benge suggest the design for the second season of kits is already complete.

Adidas’ first three shirts for Arsenal under the new kit manufacturing deal with the club have all gone down excellently with supporters. The stadium was full of fans wearing the new colours over the weekend, and there have been very few complaints about any of the three new designs, which is rare.

Whether Adidas can be as successful in their second season remains to be seen, particularly as they’ve set the bar so high in their opening campaign.
