Arsenal’s u18s won 5-1 in their second league game of the season, with Ben Cottrell starring with a brace. Miguel Azeez also netted with a powerful effort whilst Alfie Matthews and a Sam Greenwood penalty rounded out the scorers.

Catalin Cirjan was making his debut for the u18s, and he capped it early on by providing the assist for the opening goal. Mazeed Ogungbo also got an assist, setting up Cottrell for the second.

Meanwhile, in the u16s, Arsenal went one better by winning 5-0. Khayon Edwards and Malcolm Ebiowei were both among the scorers, with Ebiowei also bagging a hat-trick of assists.

Luigi Gaspar, son of Arsenal technical director Edu, made his debut in the u16 match after joining from Corinthians. He posted on Instagram after the match that “there’s no better way to debut, thank God I could help my team with the first goal”.

Combined with the u23s winning 2-1 against Brighton on Friday and the first team beating Burnley by the same scoreline, it’s been a great weekend for Arsenal teams.
