According to reports Arsenal, along with Manchester City and Tottenham all sent scouts to watch the teenager in Rennes 2-1 win over PSG.

Despite not turning 17 until November, Camavinga has played the full 90 in both Rennes’ league games this season so far as well as the full 90 in the Trophee des Champions – the match against PSG which was attended by scouts.

Camavinga signed for Rennes in 2013, moving from Drapeau-Fougeres when he was just 10. He was promoted to the Rennes first in January of this year and went on to play in seven of their final 11 league matches.

Standing at 1.82m/5’9″, Camavinga, who was born in Angola but holds citizenship in the DR Congo, is under contract until 2022.

He is reportedly a strong tackler who is good at interceptions and blocks who has drawn comparisons to N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba, however his passing could use a lot of work which isn’t overly surprising. He is, after all, just 16.
