Alexandre Lacazette appears to have returned to training after his injury scare, without the protective boot that had fans worried.

Lacazette was forced off early during Arsenal’s clash with Lyon on Sunday, appearing to pick up an ankle injury in the opening minutes. The player himself confirmed he twisted it, but didn’t think there was any serious damage.
Unai Emery said something similar, telling the media they just didn’t want to take any risks with the striker’s fitness.
Fortunately, it appears there’s no cause for concern. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang posted a video to his Instagram story showing Lacazette training normally alongside Shkodran Mustafi without a protective boot.

With any luck, that should mean the club’s tests have come back without any problems, and Lacazette can join the rest of the team for their trip to Angers on Wednesday. Arsenal then face Barcelona at the weekend before the Premier League season gets underway.
It’s never worth taking risks with injuries in pre-season, so it’s understandable that Arsenal decided to take Lacazette off. Plus, it gave Reiss Nelson a chance to show what he could do, so that’s another positive.
