Tomasz Wlodarczyk of Polish outlet Przeglad Sportowy reports that Arsenal held conversations with Bielik’s agent both in April and after the European Championships.

In both sets of talks, Arsenal reportedly made it clear they wouldn’t be extending Bielik’s contract. They feel he doesn’t fit Unai Emery’s philosophy, and Bielik got the impression that young players bought by Arsene Wenger would be pushed out of the club.

According to the claims, Bielik doesn’t want to draw things out with Arsenal, so he wants to cut ties through a permanent move, rather than another loan. At the moment, a transfer to the Championship looks the most likely option.

Przeglad Sportowy and The S*n have both been pushing this story for a few weeks now, though there hasn’t been much confirmation from elsewhere, so I wouldn’t jump to conclusions just yet. The Polish outlet are meant to be pretty reliable though.

It would be a shame to see Bielik leave without at least getting a chance in pre-season. You never know who might surprise you when they get an opportunity with the team, as we’ve seen with all the youth players shining for the senior side this week.

If the damage really is already done, Arsenal need to try and get a big fee so they can reinvest.
