Mohamed Elneny has interest from a number of Premier League clubs, with West Ham United leading the race, according to reports.

Egyptian outlet El-Ahly claim Elneny is close to leaving Arsenal because of the lack of faith in him from head coach Unai Emery and his resultant limited game time.

The outlet add that they’ve learned Elneny would like to continue in England and in the Premier League, with multiple clubs interested in him. West Ham are currently ‘in charge’ in their pursuit of the midfielder, with Manuel Pellegrini driving the deal.

Elneny only made 17 appearances for Arsenal last season, so it’s probably time to sell if the club can get a good fee for him.

Joe Willock, Robbie Burton and James Olayinka are all pushing for a first-team midfield role in pre-season, and Dani Ceballos is also reportedly set to join the existing options of Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi.

For the sake of Elneny’s career and those players rising through the ranks, it would be better if he moved on.
