Arsenal are returning for Barcelona winger Malcom, opening talks for his signature this summer, according to reports.
Matteo Moretto of Di Marzio reports that Arsenal are back on Malcom’s case, after links to the Brazilian winger in both of the last two transfer windows. Talks have begun and the situation is reportedly developing.
Moretto has reported on Arsenal rumours a couple of times in the past. He was ahead of the curve in the case of Lucas Perez’s transfer to West Ham, reporting that a deal was near when many other outlets were suggesting the Spaniard would join Sporting CP.
Conversely, he also claimed Gelson Martins was near to Arsenal and Newcastle in January. He later added Martins was choosing between the two Premier League clubs and Monaco, before a loan to the Ligue 1 side was confirmed a week later.
It’s hard to say how this should affect our view of Moretto’s reliability, considering Martins may well have been close to Arsenal as well.
Malcom scored four goals and assisted two last season, as he only just managed to play 1,000 minutes for Barcelona.
