Arsenal fans are hailing Raul Sanllehi after David Ornstein confirmed Arsenal had found an agreement with Lille for the transfer of Nicolas Pepe.
Despite French media reports claiming that a deal had been agreed between the two clubs for the €80m transfer of Nicolas Pepe, the most respected journalists in Britain were still claiming there was nothing to the rumours.
That all changed on Saturday morning when the Ornacle spoke:
Arsenal have reached an agreement with Lille to sign Ivory Coast winger Nicolas Pepe for ~€80m, paid by instalments to fit #AFC budget. 5yr deal, agent agreement still needed but set to be closed in next 24/48hrs. Napoli also have agreement with #LOSC but agent rejected proposal

My take on the Nicolas Pépé transfer is the traditional English media aren’t being briefed first. They were deliberately used as a smokescreen for the £40m Arsenal budget narrative with Josh Kroenke, Edu & Raul Sanllehi acutely aware this would be a summer to "be excited" about. pic.twitter.com/MmDrn0AtgA

Cue mass hysteria, and a load of Arsenal fans rushing to demand Raul Sanllehi gets a statue:
If Arsenal really sign Ceballos, Saliba, Pepe and Tierney on a £40m budget then Raul Sanllehi must be knighted!

Honestly, if we do pull off a transfer window of Martinelli, Ceballos, Saliba, Tierney, Nicolas Pépé and a central back I might have to do a whole thread to explain how Raul Sanllehí has pulled a masterclass.

Raul Sanllehi really convinced every single person in the world that we have £45m budget and now David Ornstein, most credible source said we’re signing Nicolas Pépé for £80m. Golden statue, name our stadium after him, free living in the Buckingham Palace. Raul FC masterclass

If Arsenal really leaked it to the media that we only had £45m to spend just so we could work on a deal for Nicolas Pépé without our rivals thinking it was even a possibility, then we might as well rename the club Raul Sanllehi Club de Football if the deal materializes.

Jorge Mendes and Raul Sanllehi are close pals. Just saying.

Raul has had Wilfried’s brother on live TV begging for his brother to be sold to Arsenal, Everton learning English from apps whilst he’s been chilling with Pepe. Unreal killa.
