Reiss Nelson and Kelechi Nwakali have been posing in the new Adidas Arsenal kits ahead of the 2019/20 season, after returning from their respective loan spells.

With the new Arsenal home kit released on Monday morning, photos started to emerge of the existing squad wearing it, taken towards the end of last season.

Clearly, a couple of Arsenal’s loanees from 2018/19 have also checked in for a club photo shoot already though. Nelson and Nwakali posted photos of themselves in the new shirt on their social media pages.

Nwakali is back in pre-season training with Arsenal after his loan with FC Porto, whilst Nelson is on holiday following his participation in the u21 Euros. Both are evidently hopeful of a chance with the Gunners this season though.

Nelson could make a good addition to Arsenal’s front line, scoring regularly for Hoffenheim in his limited minutes last campaign. For Nwakali, it’s less about whether he’s ready for the Arsenal first team and more about whether he can finally secure a work permit.

So far, Takuma Asano, Matt Macey, Calum Chambers, Krystian Bielik, David Ospina, Emi Martinez and Emile Smith Rowe are yet to be seen in the new home shirt.

Ospina is likely to leave and Bielik is on holiday after the u21 Euros, so those two make sense. The rest will probably get photos done in the coming week or two.
