A decision will be made in the next few days over Ianis Hagi’s future with Arsenal waiting for news.

A few weeks ago it was reported that Arsenal had made an offer for the 20-year-old son of Gheorghe Hagi.

Now, the CEO of Viitorul has given an update on the player. Gica Popescu said, “The following days a final decision will be made in the case of Ianis.

“He does not know any of the offers that exist for him. There are few. Tomorrow, in the morning, we’ll show what’s there.

“We will make an analysis and make a decision. I can not tell them now, but you will be surprised at what teams were and are interested in Ianis Hagi.

“Any of the Romanian players can receive an offer from abroad. We have to see now if our clubs want.”

Before he moves, Hagi wants assurances that he will play an acceptable number of games. He wishes to establish himself firmly in the Romanian national team, where he seems to enjoy a more attacking position. He currently has five full caps.

Hagi played 24 times in Liga 1, Romania’s top tier, last season. He scored seven and assisted five. Overall, he finished with 14 goals and eight assists from 39 games which is an impressive return from the middle of the pitch, especially for a 20-year-old.

As I know little about him I spoke to someone who has been following Hagi’s career for a few years. You can read his in-depth scouting report for the player here.
