A number of Arsenal u16 players have stepped up to the u18s for their trip to Slovakia this week, including Charlie Patino, Taylor Foran, Omari Hutchinson, Malcolm Ebiowei and Marcelo Flores.

Those remaining in London joined the u15s to take on Barnet’s u16s on Saturday.

The young Arsenal side managed to come out 4-3 winners, with Khayon Edwards among the scorers. Edwards was part of the u15 side that won the JSSL Professional Academy 7s in Singapore earlier this year.

Next up, they’ll travel to Germany to take part in the u17 Bundesliga Cup. Arsenal are the only non-German side taking part, alongside Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Dortmund, TSG Hoffenheim, Bayern Munich, VfB Stuttgart, Hamburg and FC Koln.

The matches will take place on the 20th and 21st July, and we’ll bring you any updates as we have them. The event should be a great experience for the Arsenal youngsters, and it’s good to go into it on the back of a win.
