Yahoo Sport in France (via GFFN) report that Arsenal are set to meet with Lacazette’s representatives to discuss his future today. A Spanish club has made their interest in the player known, and the agents want to understand Arsenal’s position on a possible sale.

Despite rumours earlier in the summer that Arsenal would look to extend the contracts of Lacazette and Aubameyang, Manu Lonjon has told GFFN that’s not what this particular meeting is about.

A few months ago, it seemed unthinkable that Arsenal would consider selling either of their star strikers. However, now that it’s apparent just how much the club are in need of money to sign any of their current transfer targets, you never know.

It should take a huge bid to convince Arsenal to sell Lacazette, of course. If the likes of Atletico Madrid were willing to spend big to replace Antoine Griezmann, that would be the only way you could really see it happening.

There are few other Spanish clubs with the resources necessary for a deal, considering Barcelona are signing Griezmann and Real Madrid have spent big this summer already.
