Danny Welbeck’s agent has denied that the player is set to move to Turkey but he also said he would ‘love to see him play there’.

Since Danny Welbeck was released by Arsenal at the end of his contract this summer news around his next destination has been relatively quiet.

Four Premier League clubs were said to be interested in him before he finally left Arsenal while it was also claimed he could move abroad to Lazio or Galatasaray.

“Reports in Turkey claiming we are in talks with Galatasaray are false,” his agent, Serhat Altinci was quoted as saying by Fanatik.

“We are not in talks with any club in Turkey.

“There are offers from Turkey and we would consider a move under the right conditions.

“I would love to see him play here.”

Under Unai Emery, Welbeck played just 14 times and while there is no doubt he would have seen more game time if his ankle hadn’t snapped like it was made of Jack Wilshere DNA, his return of 32 goals and 15 assists from 126 games since his £16m transfer from Manchester United in 2014 has hardly spoken of restrained striker just waiting for a run of fitness.
