Lukas Podolski has been discharged after being hospitalised with ‘flu.

Lukas Podolski was admitted to hospital suffering from a ‘heavy viral influenza’. It certainly must have been pretty bad as he was kept in hospital in Japan for a few days.

Thankfully, he has now been discharged.

“I’m on the mend and I am sure that I will soon be back on the pitch,” Podolski said after being released.

Podolski signed for Vissel Kobe in 2017 and has scored 14 goals, with 10 assists, in 52 games for the J League side.
