LondonNewsOnline report that Charlton are ready to pounce on any opportunity they have to take Nketiah on loan this summer.

Charlton understand the striker could well end up at one of the top Championship sides or going abroad like Reiss Nelson last season, but they’re still hopeful they might be able to use their strong relationship with Arsenal to agree another loan move.

Krystian Bielik had a strong season with Charlton last campaign, boosting his value and helping them to promotion. Arsenal have also sent the likes of Stephy Mavididi, Francis Coquelin and Yaya Sanogo to the Addicks in recent years.

Mavididi looked like a great fit for Charlton before injuries ruined both of his loan spells there, and Nketiah could slot into the team in a similar way.

Like Mavididi, Nketiah is a fast striker with solid dribbling abilities that give him the versatility to play out on the wing as well. The Arsenal youngster’s movement in the box is also excellent, and he’s always ready to pounce on a mistake and score:

There would be no point hanging onto Nketiah at Arsenal for another season unless he’s going to get chances to feature regularly for the first team. As that seems unlikely, a loan move to a team like Charlton who would utilise him regularly could be a smart decision.
