Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan’s Zinho Vanheusden, an 18-year-old centreback who could be an affordable solution to some of the club’s problems in defence.

Arsenal certainly seem to have at least one eye trained on cheaper young players for the future as they do their shopping this summer if the names they are being linked with is anything to go by.

This holds true with 18-year-old Zinho Vanheusden who is highly-rated by Inter Milan but seen as a way to raise some much-needed cash by the Italians. As such, they are willing to let him go but only, Het Belang van Limburg report, if there is a decent buy-back clause inserted into any deal.

Pretty standard stuff.

However, Arsenal are reportedly not happy with the amount suggested by Inter for this clause and that’s where things stand at present.

The u21 Belgian international spent last season on loan with Standard Liege where he made 30 appearances and scored two goals.

Under contract until 2022 with the Italians, Standard Liege would like him back again but Arsenal should be able to beat any wages they offer without breaking a sweat.

Sport Witness report that Inter need to bring in €35m before the end of June.
