Arsenal have made two bids for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney and while they struggle to find an agreement with his club, they have placed a whopper of an offer in front of of the 22-year-old.

Before he signed a new deal with Celtic in 2017, Kieran Tierney was reportedly earning £15kpw. Not a bad wage at all for a then-20-year-old. His extension, signed in October of that year, saw his wages rise to £25kpw. Still not too shabby.

Now, Arsenal are offering to triple that by paying him £4m-a-year for five years. That works out at just over £75kpw.

To compare, they currently pay Nacho Monreal £70kpw and Sead Kolasinac £119,500pw.

Money, as we know, is tight at Arsenal but should they land Tierney then one of Monreal or Kolasinac will make way.

Arsenal recently extended Monreal’s contract as it was set to expire this summer but that doesn’t seem to have done anything to ensure his future lies with Arsenal.
